Thanks to some great feedback that we got from our beta testers, we have** released the plugin to the WordPress plugins directory**.

We had to rename the root directory of the plugin, so if you could please delete the currently installed plugin, re-install the one from the plugins directory and re-enter the CLOUDINARY_URL in the Settings page of the plugin that could be great. No data will be lost of course.

We would really appreciate it if you could keep on sending in your great feedback, and if you could also rate the plugin, that would be amazing :)

Very excited to use this plugin! I have run into one issue that I'm not sure how to fix. I'd like to use an image uploaded to Cloudinary as a Featured Image on a page. When I go to select the Featured Image only images from the local media folder show up and I don't have the choice to select the image in Cloudinary. Is there a way to do this that I'm not getting? Thanks for any advice and looking forward to using the plugin on my sites!

    Hi Randy and Steve,

We are working on enhancing Cloudinary's WordPress plugin to support featured images and WordPress image galleries.

It should be available in the next few days. We will update you when it's ready.

    Thanks!

    Hi Randy and Steve,

Version 1.0.6 of the plugin that was just released supports featured images.

WordPress media items are now created also for attachments of images generated by Cloudinary. The media items link to the remote cloud-based images and can be used for featured images and galleries. Note that you will need to save a draft of your post in order to see newly attached images available in the featured image selection dialog.

Please let us know if it works for you.

    Thanks!

The INSERT feature from a post/page part of this plugin does not work with Internet Explorer.  Any ideas? I've tested it in IE 8, 9, & 10.  Works with Google Chrome Browser v.26.x and Firefox v.20.x.

    Hi Ann Marie,

We've tested inserting an image to a post & page in IE 9 & 10 and it seems to work fine.

What kind of error do you get when trying to insert an image to a post using Internet Explorer?

Can you please share the list of additional plugins you have installed in your WordPress server that might conflict with Cloudinary's plugin?

    Thanks!

Hi. I'm new hear so apologies if this sounds like a dumb question. My media library in wordpress say that images have been uploaded to cloudinary with the message 'uploaded' next to the image. However when i try and find them in cloudinary, they don't seem to be there. Can anyone explain what is going on. Thanks

    Hi Colin,

Can you please verify that the CLOUDINARY_URL is correctly set in the settings page of the WordPress plugin?

You can get your CLOUDINARY_URL from the console.
