Why am I receiving an "Upload failed: cloud_name is disabled" error when using my new Cloudinary account?

When you register to Cloudinary, a verification-email is automatically sent to the email address you provided. This email contains a link which must be accessed in order to complete the signup process. Skipping this verification step may result in your account being automatically disabled after 24 hours, therefore we highly recommend that you pay attention to this flow.

Note that sometimes the verification-email may get redirected to your Spam/Trash folder. If you can't seem to find the email, you can always login to your Cloudinary account and ask for the verification email to be resent by following the on-screen instructions:

There are other possible reasons for a Cloudinary account to become disabled, for example unsettled billing issues, etc. In such cases several email notifications will be sent prior to deactivation.
