Getting started with the Cloudinary Klaviyo app

The Cloudinary app for Klaviyo connects your Cloudinary media library directly to Klaviyo, so you can drop optimized, on-brand images and videos into your email and SMS campaigns without ever leaving the Klaviyo editor. This guide walks you through what the app does, how to install it, and how to start using your media in campaigns.

What you can do with the app

• Browse your media library in Klaviyo. Search and select assets from your Cloudinary account directly inside the Klaviyo content editor.

Before you begin

Make sure you have the following ready:

• An active Cloudinary account with media uploaded to your library.
• An active Klaviyo account with permission to install and manage integrations.
• Your Cloudinary cloud name and API credentials, available in your Cloudinary console under Settings > Account.

Installing the app

1. In Klaviyo, open the Integrations page from the main navigation.
2. Search for Cloudinary and select the app from the results.
3. Click Add integration (or Install).
4. When prompted, sign in to Cloudinary and authorize the connection between the two accounts.
5. Confirm the connection. Once authorized, the Cloudinary media picker becomes available in the Klaviyo content editor.

Adding media to a campaign

1. Create or open an email or SMS campaign in Klaviyo.
2. In the content editor, add or select an image or video block.
3. Choose Cloudinary as the media source.

Troubleshooting

• The media picker isn't appearing. Confirm the integration is installed and authorized, then refresh the Klaviyo editor.
• Assets aren't loading. Verify that your Cloudinary cloud name and credentials are correct and that the connection is still active.
• An image looks wrong in the email. Check the applied transformation, and make sure the original asset in Cloudinary is published and accessible.
