Using upload widget but making call from backend service

Ideally, I’d like to use the canned UI upload widget, but pass that payload to our backend and make the actual signed upload call from there. Does anyone know if the widget supports this type of flow? Will I not be able to use the widget if I want to do this?

    Generally, the Upload Widget is designated to provide support for direct uploading from the browser straight to Cloudinary. It also supports using signed uploading, based on a server-side generated signature which should be implemented on your own server.

    Depending on your requirements, there might be other ways to achieve your goals while taking advantage of the upload widget.
