hi this didnt work for me , please assist if possible ...

the problem is my original image was located at  /image/upload/v1673878048/signature/banner_bo8c4k.png and the new image i created with same public_id ie banner_bo8c4k

has a slightly different url being /image/upload/v1673878601/signature/banner_bo8c4k.png the difference being at "vXXXXXXXXX" ... so how do i make my new image have the same v1673878048 part ?

    Hi there,

The vxxxxxxx that you mention is a timestamp of when the asset was uploaded. That's why it will be different even if you overwrite an asset by keeping the same public id. However, this version / timestamp component does not need to be in the URL. You can omit it and the URL will work just fine.
You can refer to this article for more information on asset versions https://support.cloudinary.com/hc/en-us/articles/202520912-What-are-image-versions-

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

    Kind Regards,

    Tia
