Delete images from database wp site

If I have uploaded the images from my wp blog to cloudinary, is it possible to delete the original images from the server?

Or are all my images lost at that point

    Hi Francesca,

    After your images are uploaded to Cloudinary, your images are stored in your Cloudinary account. However, after an image from your Cloudinary account is added to one of your posts, it's automatically added to your WordPress Media library as well.

    Currently, non-empty folders can be deleted via the Admin API only. This is done with the  delete_resources_by_prefix  method.

    For example, in PHP:

    $api->delete_resources_by_prefix("my_folder/");
