how to select a development framework

I am just now signing up, and I am asked to select my "development framework" for SDK download and a quick start guide. How do I determine which one is the best for me? I simply want to store images where people can view them via a link. I would assume I should select JAVA. Is that correct?

    Never mind. I don't need it for my purposes. All I needed was to go to the Media Library tab in the Management Console and drag an image to the designated spot. Couldn't be easier. I was able to link to the two pictures I uploaded with no trouble.
