Strict transformations on private and public images.

Hi,

Our scenario is that we a large number of images that we have uploaded as private. We want to control tightly how these images can be viewed so have turned on strict transformations and created named transformations which can be used to view the private images.

As well as the private images we also have images that are public (not private). With these images we want to be able to transform to different sizes on the fly.

We thought we could use the restricted image types in settings for this functionality but cannot see any effect. Can restricted image types do what we are looking for or is there another way?

We know we could use signed url's to achieve this but we prefer not to.

    Thank you for your question and feature request.
    As the 'Strict transformations' mode is currently defined globally only, signed URLs are the solution for this at the moment.
