tags vs folders

Hi - is there any guideline for using tags vs folder to organize a large library of data ?
Are there performance issues or other problems in storing all images in a single folder and use only tags to retrieve/ filter images ?

    There are no performance issues when organizing your resource within folders. Doing so allows more comfortable navigation via the Media Library.
    Tags are more practical for listing and navigating between your resources from both Server and Client sides using our API.
    You can use both without any concern.
