Default Number of Transformations

Hallo,

 

I am trying to figure out the minimum number of transformations I can achieve by uploading a png image of 51KB 350x200px.

 

No matter what I do, -without modifying the default settings, each upload from the media library results in 3 transformations and the file stays intact.

 

Is this the minimum number of transformations or can I reduce it somehow?
