Converting images to pdf

Hello,

I am adding a logo to a two-page pdf and returning the pdf. Looking at the pdf cookbook page, I'm not sure if this can be done while the file is in pdf format so I have two high-quality images that I am adding the logo to and then converting to pdf. I found how to do this here. However, the result is very poor quality. Is there any way to improve this?

Edited to add: I have converted a regular image to pdf with great results. However, I am not able to find a way to enable pagination via this method. If I have an image large enough to be two standard letter-size pages, it just becomes a pdf of that size without splitting it into separate pages. It's when I use the method linked above for multi-page pdf that the quality becomes so poor.
