well... I like it!  I'm not sure how web devs can find this unusual, obtrusive or anything but amusing.  i just wish i knew how to cheat like john carmack

Just found this today, and as an avid Doom/Quake fan, I absolutely loved it. Lovely addition. The rest of you who are having "issues" with it should give Google a try. It would have told you everything you needed to know about a harmless reference to a wonderful game and development company.

    Hi Paul.

I'm one of the Developer Support Engineers here on Cloudinary's Customer Success team.

Thank you for your candid feedback. I can certainly understand your hesitation to put this into production code, so I have raised a ticket with our development team to see if we can get this removed. I can't provide any promises or ETA, but I will do my best to keep you updated with any relevant info on the ticket.

    Many thanks,
    -Danny

    Hi Robbie,

Thanks for checking this with us.

This output is expected and not the result of an external source. In fact, this was something that was released very recently. It is a hidden easter-egg memory game which can be activated by typing a specific sequence of characters. The text is there to help users recall what this is a reference to and from there it will be easier to know what the sequence of characters.

Having said that, in the next deployment we are planning to reduce the text size and generally make the message less obtrusive.

Lol, that's how I rationalised it to myself after a moment of freaking out.

It's just such a massive and slightly creepy message to see out of nowhere, and of course when you're working on a project it renders on every page refresh so it's pretty much in the way of using the console.

Ok glad to know it was deliberate, and yeah if it could be a little less obtrusive that would be great :)

    Hi Brian,

Currently, there isn't a way to hide it. Having said that, if it's causing any unwanted issues please share with us your concerns and we would be open to seeing what can be done to resolve this.

Y'all are too nerdy. This looks like the site has been hacked or has some malicious code.

What this means is that we can not use a Cloudinary widget in production, because we are making a financial product, https://www.spiral.us.

I'm sure this is an issue for other serious products as well.

This is bad for Cloudinary and their customers. I hope you will reconsider and remove this embarrassing message.

I'm pleased to inform you that the console message had been removed from the Media Library Widget.

If you have any other issues or feedback, please feel free to get in touch.

    Thanks,

Could it be removed entirely, please?

Having just seen this for the first time my instant reaction was "why are Cloudinary snooping over my shoulder - what are they doing in my console - have I been hacked???"

It's kinda creepy and really does look like a hack. I love the service and have a free account so don't like to bellyache but this is a wee bit too 'fireside' for comfort.
