Can I mask text with a PNG and then overlay onto a PDF?
I'm trying to create a "grunge" effect by masking a text with a grunge PNG. I've got that to work here:
Then, I'd like to place/overlay that onto a pdf but I can't seem to get it to work. The PDF I'd like to put it onto is https://res.cloudinary.com/squadron-posters/image/upload/v1589688837/16in34bs_njouwf.pdf
Thanks in advance for the help.

Shirly, Yes thank you! You give a lot of help, Ive read through most of your comments. Okay, now how do I move that text down underneath the other text? When I try a southeast gravity it only moves the grunge layer or the text layer or it all dissappears. Any help would be awesome!

Great! I'm not sure where exactly do you want to add the text. but you can play with the x and y. For example:
Can that work for you?

Perfect! Okay, one last question....if I want to make the movement of the text to be relative to the background image...I have different sized backgrounds so relative makes more sense than absolute x/y. How can I do a north_east gravity and put my sample text in the bottom right under the other text? Thank you so much...promise that's the last qestion!

Hi,
Here is the closest I can get to relative positioning using g_south_east.
Please note the Grunge layer is 7267 pixels wide and only 818 tall. Grunge Layer is a very large-sized image as compared to the pdf file, hence to use relative positioning both layers need to be close to the same size if not exactly the same as overlapped.
Let me know if this helps.
