Bandwidth usage
Streaming unoptimized videos is responsible for 99% of your bandwidth usage. If possible, use q_auto to optimize them for web or use smaller dimensions.
Hello, i am pulling my videos straight from cloudinary to my website whenever a request is made and I am not using q_auto for optimization. If I were to switch to it how much less bandwidth should I be expected to use?

Hi Valentino,
Thank you for your question!
Optimising video quality by using q_auto is just one of the optimization options that we offer. You can also resize your videos, reducing the original dimensions when delivering them and thereby further reducing the loading time of your videos and the bandwidth usage.
The exact saving on your bandwidth depends on the optimizations applied and the final output of your assets on delivery but in general, you could see a usage drop by 70-90%..
