Transformation result as an independent image?

We would like to upload a product image to Cloudinary and then run 5 different transformations against it to generate 5 product swatch variants. We can do it through the Explicit transformation, but it will create resulting images (swatches) on CDN only. Is there any way to create swatches as fully independent new images? (the only workaround I see is to upload the same product image multiple times, each time with different transformation - but this is bad solution from the traffic/network perspective as we will need to upload 1000x1000 image 5 times just to generate 5 new images 30x30)
