Are viewing Image via an existing URL counted as transformation?
Hello dear Cloudinary,
I have a question mostly regarding transfomation count.
If a URL to a picture have been created and posted somewhere on the Internet. Does each time a person clicked into it and view the image count as transformation? Or just the process when calling the c_url count as transformation.
Thanks you,
P/s: Sorry for my crappy English.

Hi Nguyen,
The Transformation quota is consumed once per newly generated derived/transformed version and once that version is generated, like in your example scenario, you can access that derived/transformed version as many or as few times as you need and no new Transformation quota will be used - thus only Bandwidth quota will be consumed for the delivery of the asset based on the number of bytes the derived/transformed image/video is. If you change the transformation in the URL then that will require generating a different derived (unless of course you have generated that derived previously) and hence a Transformation quota will be consumed.
Please see the below two resources that provide more details into what other actions can result in Transformation quota consumption:

Of course, if you have any questions please let me know.
