Blurred thumbnail of video

Hello, 

I have the following video: 

https://res.cloudinary.com/ddayq9sfx/video/upload/c_fit,h_700,w_700/b_blurred:800,c_pad,h_1024,w_1024/q_auto:low/doctor_uapdqm?_a=ATRSRAA0

I want to have blurred thumbnail which would be: 

https://res.cloudinary.com/ddayq9sfx/video/upload/so_0.001/b_blurred,c_fit,h_700,w_700/c_pad,h_1024,w_1024/q_auto:low/doctor_uapdqm.jpg 

And it seems not to work. 

Padding with color works correctly: 

https://res.cloudinary.com/ddayq9sfx/video/upload/so_0.001/b_red,c_fit,h_700,w_700/c_pad,h_1024,w_1024/q_auto:low/doctor_uapdqm.jpg

 

Any option on how I can achieve that? Thumbnail is needed for me for bandwidth control (play/load only when interacted with)

  Hi Rafal, 

  Thanks for your inquiry. I'm able to achieve blurring the thumbnail using the `e_blur:800` transformation url which is documented here: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/transformation_reference#e_blur

  Here it is:

  Hello, 

  I am trying to have it the same style as a video - so padding is blurred not the image itself

  I have looked into this issue but didn't find a way to set a blurring effect using padding when converting the video to the image.
