Combine two images horizontally

Hello, my goal is to combine two images horizontally. Here is how i did it by using overlays:

http://res.cloudinary.com/dxrmufxve/image/upload/h_500/l_nnmcljgnu7jsjwmnoi0x,h_1.0,fl_relative,x_400/wdo14iarwucx332gaztq.jpg

But, the problem is, i dont like x_400 parameter. I need cloudinary to place second image immediately alfter first. First image' width is unknown.

How can i do that?
