Where are the Custom Coordinates From Dashboard Custom Coordinates Feature

I am relatively new to Cloudinary and trying to define a custom crop following the Custom Coordinate feature of the Dashboard. The tool is not intuitive at all. I select a custom region with the crop tool and there is no output of the x, y, width, height of the crop. Therefore, I cannot specify the correct values in a URL.

I found this thread (https://support.cloudinary.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000799892-Selected-image-portion-width-height-x-y-as-overlay-image-on-a-video-?input_string=Exposing%20Custom%20Coordinates%20From%20Dashboard%20Custom%20Coordinates%20Feature) where the poster has a similar question but no clear resolution was provided. Am I missing something here?

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for reaching out.

     

    You can use the custom coordinates defined in the Media Library by using the `custom` gravity parameter. For example,

    http://res.cloudinary.com/demo/image/upload/c_fill,g_custom/sample.jpg

    To return the coordinates values, you can use the Resource API and set the `coordinates` parameter as True.

     

    That said, getting the coordinates from the Media Library sounds like an interesting feature so I went ahead and added a request on your behalf. I'll let you know of any updates :)
