Learn or hire
Hello,
I have spent the last 11 years managing marketing and IT for a small auto group. My title of IT Director was only appropriate if the emphasis was on the director piece. I was incredibly fortunate to have two really incredible IT professionals carrying out directions coming from the C-Suite. The competence of my team allowed me to focus on my passion, marketing. I recently left that role with the hope of launching an agency dedicated to supporting small business marketing. As I have been preparing I came across Cloudinary and I am blown away by what their capabilities could mean for amplification of brand narrative through the various channels. My question is what should I do? I have begun the tutorials but I feel that I am too much a Luddite to comprehend all that is possible. Given anyone reading this is likely vastly more experienced with Cloudinary and coding, can someone recommend whether it is optimal for me to begin learning a language and if so which one or am I better served hiring a freelancer to help me? My plan is to build a Progressive Web App from which clients can use their mobile devices to take photos and videos which are transformed through Cloudinary and posted to various social media platforms. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Hi Colin,
The best way to start learning about cloudinary is by going over our getting started guide here
Cloudinary is a platform that has an API. That API can be accessed using various coding languages, depending on what you already know and are comfortable with.
If you are looking to integrate Cloudinary within an app than its better to have some technical skills. Learning them or hiring them is up to you of course :)
Hope this helps. Please let us know if there are any other questions we could help with.
