Fading out for only last part

Hi,

 

 

I am unable to figure out how to do the fading-in and fading-out of a video overlay properly.  I am trying to do the following:

1) fade the overlay in for 1 second 
2) leave it at full opacity for couple seconds (8 seconds)
3) THEN fade it out over 1 second

I read various posts including this one (video overlay fade)

The best I could come up with starts the fading immediately.

  Hello Dirk,

  Unfortunately there is a bug that currently exists with our e_fade transformation when fading out with overlays.  Our Dev team is aware of this bug and I have escalated an internal ticket to bring traction and awareness for this issue.
