Adding q_auto,f_auto to a videofile in the media library. Eager Async is on.
Hi.
I'm trying to upload a 195mb video that I would like to have with params q_auto,f_auto.
Like this: https://res.cloudinary.com/XYZ/video/upload/f_auto,q_auto/gold_english_v2_gnbkq3.mp4
I've added a upload preset with my eager transformation and Eager Async on. The media library video upload preset is connected to my preset.
However, when uploading the video I still get the error: "Video is too large to process synchronously, please use an eager transformation with eager_async=true to resolve".

Hi Alexander,
Thanks for reaching out.
Based on the URL provided, I do not see any asset gold_english_v2_gnbkq3 in the account XYZ.
There is also no upload preset setup.I was able to see traffic with this asset with another account. It showed the same error as you indicated.
For that account, I only see a default preset that does not have eager_async=true.So to upload a large file, you need to first set up an upload preset and set the eager_async=true. Please refer to the following steps:
Media Library: https://support.cloudinary.com/hc/en-us/articles/208097215-How-can-I-add-upload-options-when-uploading-via-the-Media-Library-
On the second picture, click on "Upload Manipulations" and turn on Eager Async.
I hope this helps; please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks,

Hi Mo,
Thanks for the reply. My account is gurusoft-alexander-test
Do you see the preset with eager_async=true and that it's linked to Media library's upload presets: Video?
I however still get the error when trying to upload via the Media Library. "Video is too large to process synchronously, please use an eager transformation with eager_async=true to resolve".

Hi Alexander,
In reviewing your upload preset I could see that you have defined both Incoming transformations as well as eager transformations. To upload the video successfully you need to define one or the other. I.e., either an incoming transformation or an Eager transformation + eager_async.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Millie

Ah that's why it wouldn't upload. The upload now works. Thanks Millie.
I can now see "q_auto,f_auto" as a derived video.
Is it correct that the URL https://res.cloudinary.com/gurusoft-alexander-test/video/upload/f_auto,q_auto/v1587464656/gold_english_v2_gnbkq3.mp4 should now work?
Because I'm still getting an error that it "cannot be displayed because it contains errors".

Hi Alexander,
You are all set with the video. When a video is too large, we generate it on the background rather than on the fly.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks,
Mo
