I clearly don't understand how transformations are counted

Like, you've answered those questions before (Are "url transformations" counted as such everytime a user sees a cloudinary served image ? & How are transformed counted)

Yet it's doesn't seem like it's the behavior I observed. Like, I've embeded an URL of a video with a transformation and somehow cranked 3,454 transformations in no time. And it seemed like it goes up by a few hundred every time I interacted with it. So I just saved the transformed video... reuploaded it... and the transformations stopped cranking. 

So please explain what am I doing wrong here.

And also your really need a quick way to save a transformed image/video in the same folder without having to save it and re-upload it myself.

  And it doesn't help that I can't see the reports for the last two days.

  Video transformation are counted differently from image transformations. You can find details on how video transformation are counted in the following documentation section: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/solution_overview#multiple_transformation_counts
