Image size not reducing after reducing quality

Hi,

I have uploaded some images to the media library and I am trying to fetch them using different quality percentages. I have tried with many different values, neither the quality decreases nor the size decreases. I tried decreasing the size by adding q_50 value in the middle of the url.

I tried the same thing with the sample images provided by default and the decrease in quality and size is evident there

  Hi, This issue is resolved now. Cloudinary was unable to optimize the png files, so I am fetching jpeg files instead where this issue is not present.

  Thank you for the update, I'm happy to hear that the issue is resolved. Please note, that with Cloudinary you can optimize png file. For example:

  http://res.cloudinary.com/demo/image/upload/q_auto,f_auto/sample.png (42KB)
