Clarification on Background Removal usage
Hi,
Currently, we have a Cloudinary "Plus" plan activated and We want to use only "Background removal" in our primary support.
We already activated "Cloudinary Background removal Add-on - Gold" plan in my another Cloudinary account but the usage of Cloudinary background removal edits seems like 739/1,618 is lesser than monthly credits 3K/per monthly edits
How the background removal count is being calculated. Because currently, the notification URL callback is getting hit for 2 times for single image upload as follows.
- Callback Received immediately after successful image upload
- Call received after background removal is completed.
I want to know the best plan to use Cloudinary API only for background removal Add on and What is the best practice to use maximum background removal Add on credits?

If you subscribe to an add-on plan mid-way through the billing cycle for your account's plan, you're charged only for the remaining part of the billing cycle month, and the quota is adjusted to match. For example, if it's showing you a quota of 1618, I think that means you upgraded the add-on plan about 16 days into the billing cycle. The next month you'll have a quota of 3000 and be charged the full price for the add-on.
One is subtracted from your quota for each time an image background is removed, but not for the upload itself - you receive two notifications because one is for the upload and one for the background removal status, only the second one is charged against the add-on quota.
Paid add-ons require a paid Cloudinary account, but if your usage of Cloudinary is light otherwise, you won't need to upgrade from the Plus plan. If you have other requirements that might need a different plan, you can contact our Plans and Billing team by submitting a request here in the support site, and they'll make sure you're on the correct plan for your requirementsRegards,
