    Hi Durga,

    If you subscribe to an add-on plan mid-way through the billing cycle for your account's plan, you're charged only for the remaining part of the billing cycle month, and the quota is adjusted to match. For example, if it's showing you a quota of 1618, I think that means you upgraded the add-on plan about 16 days into the billing cycle. The next month you'll have a quota of 3000 and be charged the full price for the add-on.

    One is subtracted from your quota for each time an image background is removed, but not for the upload itself - you receive two notifications because one is for the upload and one for the background removal status, only the second one is charged against the add-on quota.

    Paid add-ons require a paid Cloudinary account, but if your usage of Cloudinary is light otherwise, you won't need to upgrade from the Plus plan. If you have other requirements that might need a different plan, you can contact our Plans and Billing team by submitting a request here in the support site, and they'll make sure you're on the correct plan for your requirements
