Media Editor Widget on Wordpress Site

Hello,

Does anybody have a working example on adding the media editor widget to the front end of a wordpress website, for users to use?

I have created a custom template and included an empty element.

I have registered the external javascript file only on that page.

I have followed the documentation to the t in a custom js file, etc, configuring my cloud name and sample image, instantiating the widget, showing the widget, updating the widget.

Nothing.  And I am getting errors in the console claiming there are errors in the external javascript file itself.

I also have the cloudinary plugin installed, and I am wondering whether there is some global variable set to limit the widget to the admin only.

I would sincerely appreciate any help.
