Video Adaptive Bitrate streaming with S3 source and Media Optimiser
I have high quality videos stored in a S3 bucket and was hoping to use Cloudinary Media Optimiser to deliver these with adaptive bitrate streaming. Is this possible?
I've been trying to follow the steps on setting up adaptive bitrate streaming here: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/adaptive_bitrate_streaming as well as the steps on setting up media optimiser with an S3 bucket here: https://cloudinary.com/documentation/media_optimizer_quickstart_aws_s3 but I'm getting stuck by not being able to make an optimisation profile that uses adaptive bitrate streaming.
I'm realising that perhaps you can only use adaptive bitrate streaming with Digital Asset Management, not with Media Optimiser. Is this correct? So therefore I'd need to host my videos on Cloudinary, not on S3? Thanks

Hi Van,
Thank you for reaching out.
And that is correct Adaptive bitrate streaming is not currently supported with Media Optimizer so you will need a Programmable Media/DAM account.
You can always create a free one to start with.
Please do not hesitate to ask me any other questions or queries.
Kind Regards,Thomas0
